Decided to splurge and get king crab Christmas. The 2 pound bag was perfect for just two people. Picked these up and was very impressed with the pre-split shells, even the claws and they steamed up easily! They were impressive meaty pieces that came right out of the shells clean.

Excellent & great price!

I always like to serve king crab with my prime rib Christmas. Sam's Club had the best price in town. The crab is large and meaty. The bag is full of big claws and large legs. There were no little skinny legs in the bag. It was a terrific price and I'm thrilled with my purchase. I even bought an extra bag for me to have it New Year's.

Yummy Crab

First time eating King Crabs. I bought as to keep my promise I made to my brother, who passed away from cancer in September 2023. Although I still don't have my taste and smell back from the result of a concussion back on 19 Feb 2025 I bought the King Crabs without thinking about my lose of smell and taste. So, I will have to try them again when my smell and taste returns. I did like the King Crabs were pre-cooked and pre-cracked for me.

Keeping a Promise

I gave it 3 stars because the price is high for the amount you get in the bag,yhe yaste is good, but I prefer the box of crab legs that Sam's Club use to carry.

Crab legs

These aren’t bad but they are like baby king crab legs. Sam’s used to have the big giant ones that were amazing, but then they started getting cheap with these tiny ones that aren’t much better than snow crab legs to be honest, especially for the price. Disappointed in Sam’s on this switch, seems like a lot of stuff is being changed for the worse there.

Disappointment

Sam’s used to carry Alaskan Colossal King Crab legs which were to die for. These are more like queen size. Takes a lot of work to extract the meat. Will probably look elsewhere next time!

Too much work

This was the worst crab we have ever eaten. Very little crab meat and what was there was very dry. Save your money and purchase the crab from the refrigerated deli section when it goes on sale.

Save Your Money - Don't Purchase

What Sam's Club used to sell as "Colossal" King Crab legs is now just a little bigger than snow crab. It didn't bother me that a 2 lb package only had 2 legs in it, they were huge and amazing. As you can see from the picture, they have completely changed the product and I am disappointed. Would buy it much more often if they would return to the original product.

Downgrade in product ... disappointed

I bought this product expecting large pieces of crab meat. I was sadly disappointed. For the price of this bag, I could have bought 2 bags of the snow crab legs and gotten more. Will never buy this product again.

Price to meat ratio

Buyers beware! I ordered in my pickup order.  I opened it that night for a special dinner.  It was definately major freezer burn. I returned it to the store the next day.  The use by date was hard to cipher but took a picture on my phone of it and  3 of us determined it looked like 2017! They kindly refunded my money but someone is not checking use by dates.  Dinner ruined!
