Out of box quality is very good. Time will tell about durability, but seem to be equivalent to my All-Clad D3 out of the box. I also have an old tri-ply Tramontina pot that was made in china. I've used it heavily for 10+ years and its as good as new. These are made in Brazil instead of China and appear to be equivalent. The handles are different than the old one I have. 

I actually prefer the handles on these to the All-Clad D3 design. I was looking to supplement the 7 piece D3 set I got because $$$. Very pleased so far.

Great first impression

I needed to replace my hodgepodge of pots and pans with something nice and nontoxic. I did my research and decided on this set. It has everything I need included. I don’t really need all 3 skillets but all sets come with skillets. The skillets don’t have lids of their own, but other lids in the set fit the 8” and 10” skillets. The lids fit snugly. Tramontina is an established brand that is Brazilian. This set is made in Brazil. They make other sets in China, which come with glass lids. They are the manufacturer for Members Mark sets, too. Everything came well packaged with no damage or blemishes. The box was HEAVY. I learned to cook with various metal pots and pans, then made the mistake of switching to nonstick before the toxicity was widely known. I now need to get used to the difference in cooking techniques for uncoated cookware again. So far, so good. The pans heat evenly and retain heat well. I have a good quality enameled nonstick deep saute pan from Tramontina that I am still using for foods that stick, like eggs and cheese sauces, at least until I’m more confident with these. Remember that stainless steel is not nonstick. You must preheat and use oil to prevent sticking. Also important is that if you are boiling pasta never to put salt in until after it boils. It will cause pitting of the inside bottom that can’t be fixed. Any stains or discoloration that doesn’t wash off easily can be removed with Barkeepers Friend, including the rainbow marks that come from using high heat. I am very happy with this set. Testers have reviewed it as being a high quality, less expensive alternative to the brands that get the most attention. It has a lifetime manufacturer warranty if it’s needed, but I doubt I will need it. This particular set is exclusive to Sam’s and I really love the pieces that were chosen. There is a pot or pan for any need. Including the steamer is great for me because I prefer to steam, rather than boil, vegetables. If you understand what you’re buying, you will love the quality and value of this set.

Great quality! Stainless steel is NOT nonstick.

I've had my new cookware for a few weeks now and I love them!. After reading reviews online I was a little worried about buying them but after following recommended suggestions to heat up pan first, then add oil, butter or whatever you are using then keeping temperature set to around 4 or five I have had no issues with cleaning the pans . I did buy Bar Keeper's Friend to use to clean pans which puts the shine back in the pan if any discoloration at all. If anything does stick, I put hot water in pan and let it soak for a few minutes and no issues at all. I do think it takes a little adjusting to use these pans as I have to be more patient for them to heat up first,  but have been very happy with results. Would buy again!

Love my new Tramontina Pans!

I really love All-Clad for it's tri ply design. This brand offers a good alternative. This one has the tri ply along bottom and sides like All Clad and offers a mirror stainless finish. If you do your research, an article I found did a comparison and the only feature where this line wasn't equal to All Clad was in the time it takes for the pan to cool down when you adjust the heat lower. For the cost savings, I think it is a good choice, plus, it has metal, not glass lids.

Lower cost All-Clad alternative

After 2 weeks of daily use I can say when used and cared for properly the Tramontina brand performs very well. Any review telling you these don't perform well is either a defective piece or due to error on the user's part. Do the research on prepping the cookware! I'm a novice, but I needed proper cookware to bring my homemade meals to the next level. I'm never going back to coated cookware (except my enamel coated cast iron)!
Warm up time isn't very long. Heat retention is better than expected. The pan handles stay cool enough to touch. Dutch oven and stock pot handles DO get hot. Use pot holders or a quality dish towel to move. Cleaning isn't difficult - even removing bits of hamburger that were placed in the hot pan while the meat was still too cold came off with a scrub sponge and mild soap.
This is a great set for my family of 5. I didn't need a small sauce pot, but needed the 12in pan. I couldn't find any other sets available that had this specific mix with metal lids for use in the oven at this great of a price. Kudos to Sam's Club for requesting this mix. The finish is nice, but I was only concerned with performance, pieces included, and price point.

This set is a perfect mix and performs very well!

I purchased this set 6 months ago to work with a new induction cooktop. I also purchased an All-Clad skillet to see if there was any difference. There is... the Tramontina is superior! They are both beautiful but the handles on the Tramontina are far more comfortable and there is no difference in the cooking performance. I liked the Tramontina set so much that I decided to get a second set and replace all of my other cookware. If you are on the fence regarding quality just buy it - you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful set, great price. I LOVE MY NEW COOKWARE! I did some research on the set before going to stainless steel.  I was a newbie to cooking with anything other than nonstick.  I always allow the skillet to reach temperature before adding oil, etc. to prevent sticking.  I made omelets perfect.  I feel like this set will last me for many, many years and couldn't be any happier with it.

I was on the fence about switching over to safe, non-toxic cookware and couldn’t be more pleased with this set. This set will last for a long time and the price for all the pieces was more than reasonable. I absolutely do not miss the nonstick and happy we are safe from further damage from the coating. Try it out - you will not be disappointed.

Quality set

I am extremely pleased with the cookware.  Works great on induction range and it's beautiful. Pot of water boils in a fraction of the time it took on my gas range. Sam's customer service also did great. Handle on small skillet was loose so they refunded cost and sent a return label. I just ordered another set and everything was great.

Love the cookware. I wanted to get away from non stick materials so I read a lot about using Tramontina's stainless steel before trying it. I purchased a single fry pan first to try it out. Followed directions on how to use and clean it and I was very pleased. I used several kinds of oils to fry a variety of things as I tested out the pan. Scrambled eggs stuck once I started moving them around but I expected that. Clean up from the eggs was a breeze, didn't expect that. I use gas so the bottom of the pan got messy. Bar Keepers Friend worked to clean off the mess. Bought the 14-piece set and have already used most of the pieces, all with great results. Gave a 4 because two of the lids were damaged out of the box, small dents that haven't interfered with using them but disappointing. The price was a great find. Overall, I love the cookware.

Worth Learning a New Way to Cook and Clean

Love the pieces that are not defective. However top edge of stockpot was scraped/gouged leaving metal sharp enough to cut my finger.  edge of lid to deep sauté pan dented. Rough unpolished edges on saucepan lid.  I purchased a similar set from Sams Club about 20 years ago and the quality was better from Tramontina.
