Shark Ninja

Love it!  We use it every day as we have a dog that sheds a ton, and two boys.   This vacuum sucks up so much, it is incredible and there is NO hair/string wrap under the beater bar!   The led lights are very helpful as well. I only wish it had a longer cord.   I did install a suitable 16/2 13 amp 15' extension cord to use with it which really improved the convenience.  This Shark replaced a previous Shark that had lasted many years.

I have now had my upright detect pro for about a month now and I absolutely love this vacuum!
I have owned a few shark vacuums before this one , the vortex, the rocket they have been great vacuums and have lasted for a long time especially at times with having 5 dogs,3 Cats and 3 Birds…
I do a lot of rescue and with that comes a lot of hair and dander…
This vacuum blows all of the others away!
The strength is unmatched! 
Only thing I regret is that it didn't come with all of the attachments… I would've liked to have tried them out and reviewed them as well, but as far as this vacuum goes, hands Down my absolute favorite and I am definitely so so impressed with everything about!

Hands down ***** love this vacuum !

I have this exact model only 10+years old. We needed an upgrade bc we have a new dog and I vacuumed the basement and it was a bit stinky. I did my research and I kept coming back to wanting my vacuum just newer. This one is great. I think it's 100% lighter than the older version. There are a few things I wish didn't change like button placement and the wind up but overall this thing is super powerful, cleans what we assumed was clean and is actually propelling which makes things easier. Again it's powerful so if you're not prepared for the propel it does jolt you a bit. I love it and I'm really happy with it.

Great upgrade.

This is our third Shark vacuum cleaner, has always been a dependable machine. Our daughter still has the first one, which is over 20 years old and still works well. We like the new way it automatically switches from carpet to bare floors, and puts more suction on the side that is against a wall. The suction on Shark vacuums has always been awesome, which is why I still buy them.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is they took away the one thing that made it awesome. The body is no longer detachable so you can clean under your furniture and such. That is a feature we loved on our old vacuum, which we broke the plastic that holds it upright. If Shark will put that feature back on it, it's a 5 star product.

Love the new automatic features!

Super suction is the dominant factor in this review. Sometimes overpowering on smaller things like bathroom rugs, and loose rugs. Not sure how best to control it. I love that it can adjust itself from hard floors to low pile and thick rugs all on it's own. This is my third Lift Away Shark vacuum so I definitely recommend them. Someday I hope I can get the one that turns the canister vacuum into a stick vacuum to get underneath all my couches, etc.

Super suction is the subtitle to this vacuum!

I have long been a SharkNinja fan!  This replaced my 10-year old Shark.  Suction, weight, and maneuverability are excellent!  However, three things that drive me crazy are the control button being on the top of the canister  (instead of the handle), the stiff (cheap-feeling) cord, and no light on the handle!  I will have a hard time adjusting to these differences from my older model.  Overall, the results it provides are excellent.

Excellent lightweight vacuum!

The cord is so rigid it won't roll up and it gets hung on things and constantly trips me.   Won't lay flat on the floor.  It is also shorter than my other 2 Shark vacuums.    The roller bar on this one is very loud too and sounds like something could be wrong, but I just opened it and used it for about an hour with no change.

Disappointed with cord.

Regretted this purchase within days. On carpet or large area rugs anchored by furniture it's ok. Not great but ok. Unless there's a setting I haven't found yet, it's impossible to vacuum smaller rugs without it trying to pull the rug into the roller. You can use the hard floor mode but then you lose the roller/beater option to better clean the rug. It doesn't fit well under furniture unless you're willing to give up the power nozzle. It doesn't pick up fine dust along the edges or hard floors.- not even with multiple passes. The liftoff canister is ok for vacuuming stairs but there's no power tools for carpeted stairs. My last vacuum had a smaller power roller brush like a pet hair attachment - this one does not. Also the motor/canister area gets so hot it partially melted the crevice tool and warped it so it doesn't fit smoothly. The power cord is insanely short so expect to have to unplug and plug it in elsewhere to finish a decent sized room (like a master bedroom).  And finally if there is ANYTHING on the floor like even a pair of shoes, it will lift up over the sole and try to vacuum up the shoe.  This product was clearly QA'd in an empty 10x10 room with only clumps of dirt by a person who'd never operated a vacuum before.
