This chair is sturdy and I find if very comfortable.  It is easy to adjust the height.  My nephew put it together in less than 30 minutes without any problems.  We probably could have finished sooner if we had not been talking.The chair is much better than price suggest.  This buy was truly a steal for such a quality product.

Best Office Chair I've Ever Bought

This is my second of these chairs. It is the best chair I’ve ever owned. The wheelbase is wide enough that it does not turn over every time you move in it. I highly recommend it. You may spend more but I don’t think you will get a better chair. It’s truly a big man’s chair.

I bought this swivel chair and very happy I did.  This chair is very heavy duty. I weigh about 250 lbs and this chair easily supports my weight.  This chair is also oversized.  Very happy with this swivel chair.

Great buy

Considering what I paid for this chair on sale, it is a very good value. This is a solid chair with a wide seat. Should be good for anyone up to 400 pounds possibly more. The description says up to 450 pounds. The seat is 24 inches wide.

The chair swivels and does recline contrary to some reviews. However, the spring is very tight at first and will take some time to break in to recline. I've had mine for about a month and it does recline but requires some pressure still from my feet to keep me reclining. Not sure if it will ever recline fully with my feet off the floor and stay that way like my previous chair. To be clear, the entire chair, seat and back, recline together. The back does not recline by itself. Few office chairs do.

The seat is very firm at first but does soften with time. However, it will never be plush or soft IMO. It will always be a very firm cushioned seat; kind of like a cushioned wooden chair. It will never be soft like sinking into most sofas. Very firm back support. The arch of the back seat hits me a little high on my back. How it fits the small of your back just depends on your size. The top of the chair will be about just below your shoulders. You will not be able to rest your head on the back of the chair if that is important to you.

Arm rests are fully adjustable up and down. But they are quite firm and made of polyurethane. The seat is also adjustable up and down.

The chair arrives completely disassembled and is quite heavy in the original packing box. Assembly is moderately difficult. All screws, bolts, etc are provided including an Allen wrench to tighten all the part together. Instructions are just OK; not great. A little confusing in spots but I was able to figure out what to do with multiple readings of the instructions. It is made in China.

This is a chair for us big guys. Hard to find a chair for us at this price that will not fall apart. This chair replaces a chair I had for over 25 years and was one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in. But it cost over $600 25 years ago. This chair cost me $140 on sale.

Great value; Solid Office Chair

This is the first chair I've owned that has dense enough foam cushioning for a 300 hundred pounder like me and the construction seems rock solid. I'm rough on everything I own so time will tell if it lasts. The arms come up a little short at their maximum extension so I docked it a star.

Putting steal and foam in the right places.

Feels solid and sturdy. Heavy and hard to handle, try to have an additional set of hands for assembly. Keep your box intact for assembly so you can lay the chair on it  to put the bottom parts on.

Sturdy

Assembly took a little while ... as MOST chairs of this type do.  But - that was expected.  It seems to be well made - no squeaks and/or groans.  Looks good.  Sits a little higher than many of the other chairs - I liked that feature.  Only one complaint - they could have used more padding in the seat.  This is like sitting on a cement block - quite uncomfortable.

Nice but seat is too hard!

I bought this chair last month, just before it went on sale.  When it was delivered last week, assembly was pretty straightforward.  I think it took about 20 minutes.  But when I took if for a "test run", not all of the wheels swiveled correctly.  I could move freely for 8-12" and it would then tighten up some.  If I could move fairly smoothly side to side, then some of the wheels would totally lock up when I move forward.  Because I figured one or more of the cheap plastic wheels was causing the problem, I took the 'in-line skate' type wheels off of my old chair and replaced the wheels that came with the chair.  This didn't help, the wheels still only roll when in a particular position and if you swivel any at all, some of them drag because they are locked up.
So, I was going to return this chair and re-order another.  That's when I learned that the chair had been marked down $40- and is now OUT OF STOCK.  UGH!  I tried to contact the manufacturer at the phone number on Sam's Club description to see if I could get a new base.  That 800 number is WRONG, you will reach a slightly irritated operator at CULLIGAN WATER headquarters in Iowa. It took me the better part of a day to find any valid information (other than the many places where you can purchase their chairs and filing cabinets) for the "OIF" company.  
To save you that time, OIF is part of ESSENDANT CORP based in Deerfield, IL.  The "customer care" number is 800-733-4000.  When you call, have a sandwich and a cool beverage ready.  You will wait on hold for a good long while.  The first time I held for about 15 minutes (with crappy, static enhanced music) before it began to ring.  Unfortunately, all it did was ring... and ring... and ring.  After 25+ rings, I hung up and tried again.  It was about 20 minutes the second time, but I did reach a representative.  After explaining my problem, she asked me what it was I wanted. (Seriously!)  I repeated that I would like to get a new base as there was nothing wrong with the rest of the chair.  I was hoping that they would provide one, but for a reasonable cost I was willing to buy it.  She said she would "look into what could be done" if I would hold while she did so.  Sure, why would I NOT hold at this point?  After a time, she returned to tell me that the base is "...not a warranted item and cannot be obtained."  Therefore, her suggestion was to return the chair to Sam's for a refund-- and perhaps they could recommend another chair I might like, or maybe they could back-order one for me.  
After spending more than a month looking at hundreds of chairs, I finally selected this one- and now I can either live with a defective chair (that might end up damaging the floor) or start looking again.  I don't understand why manufacturers think it is better to trash something - especially a large item- rather than replace the single part that isn't working.

This did not come with instructions to put together, and after getting the instructions online, the back was the last thing to put together. It did not fit properly and leans back because the padding in the back is too low. Unless you want to make it fit for you, I wouldn't advise buying.
