I bought the 9500c generator a couple months ago. It is very simple to assemble, they provided the oil,  funnel and tools to get it started. The push button start works great.  My wife used the remote start key fob inside and outside house.  This feature is a mobility saver since my wife is disabled.  She has the freedom to start and stop the generator if she leaves the house.  The generator is very quiet.  A couple weeks after I received it, I lost power for 3 days, powered the whole house.  It is a must have.  I would definitely recommend!!!

Fantastic House Generator

This generator fits my needs. Easy to assemble, easy to operate. Just what I needed to keep my tw refrigerators, freezer and lights on when we have a power outage. Remote start is great also. Thanks Sam’s Club for a great buy!

JUST WHAT I NEEDED WHEN THERE IS A POWER OUTAGE

Works great! This is exactly what we were looking for. We trusted Westinghouse would provide a solid product and they do. The remote start is fabulous. Having the different starting options is an awesome idea. Building in more than the one outlet is a must. Easy access to the gas tank and oil refill is also a must. These well engineered features make this product easy for the whole family to use.

This purchase is an upgrade to my 10 yr old gen. My purchase was a WGen9500c. Took 20 minutes from start to running   The remote start was very important as we keep the new one to provide additional power in addition to what was configured as well as ease of remote start. Age/ medical reasons. As stated, after set up, started right up. No longer pull stating to exhaustion. I’m 71 yrs old and ease of use very important

My upgrade generator

This generator is designed to what i expected,  the Battery wiring cover is cover over battery terminal is not correct. Covers don't protect terminal.

Wire battery

Was as described. Will do everything we need to connect my home when electricity is lost. Super easy to start . Not super quiet but quieter than my last 5500 generator.

Love the Remote start!!!

Ordered this generator for a planned electric company outage. The outage did occur as scheduled but later when I wasn't able to see it's capabilities. It did start easy and assembly was simple. Arrival time was as noted on my purchase information. I believe this was a good purchase for the price and It'll be beneficial when the opportunity presents itself.

Easy setup.  Hookup was straight forward.  Freight packaging was secure delivering peace of mind that our generator arrived in perfect condition.  We tested power strength capabilities on all our desired home utilities.  No issues.  We are confident that when power goes out next time we will be comfortable and all our appliances will be protected.

Power Protection Peace of Mind

Liked the ease of starting and overall appearance BUT----The day of the hurricane hit Florida; it failed to generate any electricity--ran great but no juice.  In its present condition I would give it 5 stars when used as a boat anchor.  I have owned several generators previously.

If I could rate this generator with zero stars, I would. Bought it mainly for power outages so I was fortunate to not have any for a long period of time before I tried to use it. I didn't put gas in it until I needed to use it and it wouldn't start. When I contacted Westinghouse they sent me an email of something to do since it wouldn't start. I felt like I shouldn't have had to do anything since it was practically still new. Not being a mechanic I called a friend to help. We finally got it started but it still didn't run as it should've. I really believe there is a defect that Westinghouse does not want to address. I had another friend take it and work on it and finally got it running. I would run it at least once a month for 20 minutes or so. Then I noticed a leak and I believe it is oil since that's the only fluid that was required in the generator. I have not ran it since. Ultimately I've never got to use it during a power outage. I did purchase it on sale, but I wasted my money. Also unfortunately by the time I tried to use it the warranty was expired. I've invested in a Generac whole home generator and eventually get the Westinghouse repaired and give to my son. Very disappointed in this product.
